Personal statement
My goal before I got into high school was to go to college that had always been the plan for me. My parents always told me to go to college and be something in life so you I wouldn’t have to be stressed all the time and so when I have a family I would be struggling My parents didn’t attend college and they have always put pressure on me to go and that’s what I want to do. I’ll admit that throughout my years in high school I have gotten lazy and always procrastinated but I know when I do go to college it will be my number one priority.
I come from a family of 5 I have one older sister and 2 younger step brothers. When I was 4 my mother passed away and my father remarried 5 years later and they had my two brothers which I try to be a role model to. I always make my brothers exercise when I take care of them or take them outside and play sports. I hope that one day they grow up and we can all work out together one day.
During my high school years I have gotten an obsession of working out I try to go every day that I can even though I know sometimes I can’t because my parents are usually working and I have to take care of my brothers. I’ve gained many new friends while being at the gym we all have the same goals to get big and help others workout. I will continue to work out until I physically cannot anymore. I competed on September 27, 2016 and took 4th place in teen physique this was a great experience for me and really motivated me to keep on working out and do more shows in the future.
I am a senior and I’m still not sure to do with my life I’ve thought about doing something where I can help people like becoming a math teacher or becoming a personal trainer or a job in law enforcement. I applied at college of sequoias and put my major as business hoping one day I can have my own business just like my parents. I would like to sell insurance or just come up with my own clothing brand and sell shoes, clothes, and accessories.
I am very thankful for my family, my friends, and my school for all helping and motivating me to be the best me possible. I know I wouldn’t be the person I am today if my parents hadn’t been there for me and pushed me to do well in school. I also wouldn’t have the mindset I have today if I hadn’t started working out. I also wouldn’t be the person that I am today if it wasn’t for my counselors and my teachers pushing me to finish school and not give up. I believe I am ready for the next chapter in life and becoming an adult and having to deal with my own responsibilities in college.
